Liam and I began our session with a calendar activity - identifying the month, day of the week, date, time, weather, and his feelings. Liam then completed a warm-up activity - completing ten questions focusing on math skills. Liam completed Lesson 2.2 Nine as a Factor, using patterns to multiply by nine, completing guided practice, independent practice, and problem-solving problems.
Liam read and completed a written reading comprehension activity on the manatee. He reviewed all the vocabulary words for this story, and was able to use them in context.
We discussed adjectives and adverbs. He wrote the definitions and examples into his notebook. He completed several activities using and identifying adjectives and adverbs.

Lastly, Liam completed ten minutes on Math Prodigy - reviewing shapes and identifying if they are quadrilaterals.

Lesson Outline
Liam reviewed his vocabulary words and their meanings. Then he read aloud today's story, "Whooping Cranes in Danger," by Susan Goodman. We discussed the plot, characters, story details, sequence of events, and the author's point of view. He answered written comprehension questions about the story. He practiced writing and using the suffixes - full and less.
Liam worked on several activities including beginning and ending sounds, blends containing sl and bl, long and short vowel sounds, lessons covering adjectives and adverbs, composing sentences, using words in context, and understanding and explaining story details.

We reviewed the answers to the test.
We reviewed all his previous lessons about bats delving into vocabulary and the significant contributions bats make to the environment. He completed two reading comprehension activities about bats. He answered in writing comprehension questions about the articles.
The lesson Is about the nunchaku. It's history and it's how to use it-
