We learned about counting rhythms in 4, and we played along to some rhythm examples on the drums. We made sure our grip on the drum sticks were correct. We played some on the electric keyboard.
We played some basic rhythms on the drum pad, and played some songs on the drum set. We played with the hand percussion instruments, and played some rhythms together on different instruments. We took all of the metal triangles, suspended them from strings, and hit them all to compare whether the pitches were high, medium, or low.
We learned the proper grip for holding drum sticks, and we played some simple rhythms on the snare drum practice pad. We then did some musical instrument coloring sheets, and learned about the different instruments. We listened to some examples of people playing them to hear what they sound like.
