Review and discuss the logistic growth model and curve and the exponential growth model and curve. Discuss overshoot and die off. Analyze example of lynx and moose population changes through the 1980's and 1990's, along with the effect the canine virus had on both populations, and why. Introduce reproductive strategies, k selected and r selected specie population growth. Examine all factoers which effect both types.

As JP has been absent recently, we first addressed the status of assignments that need to be completed during the week. We then reviewed JP's answers to AP MCQs on a composition exercise based on Unit 5-transition, evidence, and connotation . JP's work was very good. For the remainder of the session, we worked on how to write a paragraph that weaves claims, evidence and commentary. JP prepared a practice paragraph after viewing models on the AP Classroom site.
