We reviewed the results of Nicky's test. I gave him another chance to redo the problems that he answered incorrectly. He was allowed to use his reference sheet of formulas and his calculator. I will regrade the test and review topics if needed. We also started the next concept - Ratio, Proportions, and Percents.
We learned more about financing start ups and IPO's. Nicky completed an in-class assessment on accounting principles and we watched a video on the best time to invest in a start up business.
NIcky completed the online test but didn't do well. He requested a paper test instead. I gave him a second chance with a paper test. Will review his results during the next session.
Nicky and I finished the last section of Chapter 4, completing the adjourning reading companion. We then turned our focus to the format for Nicky’s upcoming Chapter 3/4 assessment.

Nicky was focused while taking his test. He was allowed to use a calculator for the test. He turned in his test and didn't do well. I noticed that he makes simple mistakes when taking a digital test. I cannot see his work or thinking process digitally. I will go back and review topics he missed.

Nicky makes silly mistakes when calculating the surface area and volume. He knows the material but says that he hates math so doesn't put his 100%. I showed him how he would need math in day to day living, and in his sports etc. We talked about how and why math is important.

III. The student will collect 5-6 details from Of Mice and Men(such as specific plot points, symbols, or quotes, that the author uses to explore that theme and enter them in the evidence section of the table provided.
