We had rainy weather outside today, so we stayed inside and did some indoor fitness.

Read I Have a Dream book about MLK Jr. famous speech in Washington D. C. Talk about the illustrations and how they help tell each part of the speech. Have Libby tell what she thinks the illustration means and then read the words. After, have Libby think of things that can be changed and what her dream is.
Read Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day and talk about what things he was trying to do for people. Talk about why he wanted to make a change: what happened when he was a little boy that helped direct his choices. Role play with her ducks what happened to him as a child and then role play how it is different today.

Libby completed her interactive calendar. She read and discussed her vocabulary words. She watched a video about a baby woodpecker, and we discussed how it lived and survived.
We listened to more ukelele music, and sang along to a few songs. We also played a little on the drum practice pad, and discussed technique and rhythm basics.
