We continued working on Bobby's poster for his door with the English Christmas traditions. We also began designing snowflakes to decorate his door for the celebration on Friday.

Sam was a bit oppositional. I asked her to illustrate the four Amendments to the Constitution that we discussed, but she did 1.3 of them. We moved on, but my goal is for her to work more neatly and with greater attention.
We continued learning about the English colonies, after reviewing what we had already learned about the missing colony of Roanoke. We talked about the colony of Jamestown and then used Studies Weekly to learn more about the life of early colonists. We also used the History channel to learn about the Mayflower.
We are almost finished with the map of the USA with names of states and major geographic features like lakes, rivers, and mountains, which will form the basis of our continuing study.
We started with the social studies site that Jackie suggested, but it seems to require payment. The clay map Sam made last session had broken, so we will need to find another way to explore US geography
