Compare and contrast building things on paper vs on computer. Use descriptive steps to explain how to build something. Write down the steps and create object. Show Jack that even with computers, some things are written by engineers on paper...use samples of work that were drafted to show the details.
Jack worked on his Language Arts objective of identifying different parts of speech. The provision of supports and prompts helped him to remain focused. We then looked over a book of Aesop'sFables We researched Aesop and learned he was a slave and storyteller who lived in ancient Greece. We discussed that fables have a moral at its core I explained that a moral is a message that is conveyed or a lesson to be learned from a story or event. Jack retold part of a fable he remembered reading in the past, but we were unable to find it in the book. He knew the fable "The Boy who Cried Wolf," and we discussed what the moral is of that fable.
