Child seen at school for initial session for an occupational therapy evaluation. Child was given the Beery VMI, sixth edition. The VMI consists of three subtests which evaluate a child's visual perception, motor coordination and visual motor skills. We also used the Brunink's-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Second Edition. This evaluation assesses several areas of a child motor control with the subtest of: fine motor precision, fine motor integration, manual dexterity, upper-limb coordination, and balance.
