For a fun New Years activity to get Spencer pumped up for our goals off 2022, we made a book titled "My Cup of Courage." In the book, we discussed the many things we do that are brave and how we don't give up when it is challenging. It was an excellent language activity with many describing words and qualities of courage like: patience, practice, encouragement, positive affirmations, love, and trying new things. The vocabulary also provided a lot of good words for speech practice. We then made a cup of hot chocolate with colorful marshmallows representing all of our courage. Spencer was interested in the activity to start and then was tired of all the talking. SO we took a break and discussed sports scores and asked Siri questions about sports in our best sportscaster voice. Spencer enjoyed the hot chocolate so much that he requested it next session.
