Maya and I read Termites on a Stick. Before reading, she filled out the "K - What I Know" on her KWL chart. She also fill out the "W - What I Want to Know" in the W column. We read the book and discussed comprehension questions as we read. After reading, Maya filled out the "L - What I Have Learned" column. Maya used complete sentences for all of her entries. She did an excellent job focusing during this lesson.
