Today we did some reading and talking about his book.

Jason reread the text "Booker T. Washington." He circled words that tell how things were in the past. He underlined words that tell how things are today. We discussed what the term contrast means. We contrasted cucumbers and grapes.

Jason was absent today.

Jason and I used puppets to act out stories and then used pieces from the doll house for drama.

Jason and I took turns reading and discussing the book, "The Wild Robot."

Today will be dedicated to mat work.
How to do a forward roll, Introduction to side breakfalls and the science of leverage and throws.

Read the words on the activity and match them to the appropriate picture.

Today we will begin learning the fundamentals of Block Routine 1.

This involves learning to be still, breathe, and remember the sequencing.

We will begin with strength and core training, flexibility, and mobility.

Review stances and blocks.

Finish today with Hook /Kick Practice.

Today's lesson focused on adding more than two 2-digit numbers. Jason applied his knowledge from our prior lessons on basic addition strategies such as make a 10, doubles, and near doubles as well as place-value concepts to adding more than two 2-digit numbers. Together, we solved the lesson's guided practice questions before Jason worked online solving the digital edition's student practice questions. He was encouraged to take his time and carefully look for ways to use his strategies before getting frustrated.

Jason and I continue to play baseball together.
The last period we worked on knowing where the strike zone is.
Today we reviewed this and then took turns hitting the ball.
We also practiced running the bases.
