Today, Jason had a choice between three different options. He could choose to run a race, jump, or rest.
In order to choose between the different options he would say the phrase I like... in Spanish. He would then choose by saying in Spanish to run, to jump, to rest.
Jason and I continue to play baseball.
Jason is a very fast learner and is mastering his skill of hitting the ball.
He also understands the importance of how to run the bases.
Jason continued to work on yesterday's lesson on using models to add 2-digit numbers and recognizing when and why regrouping is necessary using place-value blocks. He worked in his workbook adding 2-digit numbers, completed equations shown as place-value blocks, solved a math story, and determined whether regrouping was needed to find sums.
Jason completed Inquiry Journal pages 36-37 where he wrote about what voting is, and he listed two things people can choose by voting. We took a vote on which classroom pet to get. He drew a bar graph representing this vote.
