Jason completed the Find Evidence and Make Connections on page 17. He discussed what the pictures show about people getting along. He drew a box around the words that tell how people get along. We read Explore Problem and Solution on page 18. He completed the Problem and Solution chart from the text.
Jason and I discussed what it means to get along. He described a problem he had at school and we discussed how the problem was solved. He observed a photo on page 15 of the workbook and identified how the children are getting along well together and how he knows. We read the text "Good Citizens Get Along Together" on page 16. He circled the words he didn't know. He underlined clues that tell what makes people disagree and what happens when they disagree.
Practice the ending blend words he has worked on in Lang. Arts. Do letter swaps like bank to tank to practice reading the words as a whole. Practice sight words on chart on door.
Jason began with the daily review on adding 3 addends, drawing the hands on a clock, finding the missing value in an equation, and using pictograph data to answer questions. Today's lesson focused on adding within 100 using place-value strategies and a hundreds chart. Jason used a hundreds chart to find the sums of 2-digit addition problems, completing the independent practice problems. He also answered the critical thinking question on writing the digit to make equations true.
