He completed the activity "Your Sources of Support" in which he listed people in his life who fall under the following categories: material support, emotional support, information support and appraisal support.
Ben and I began Lesson 2 Developing Personal Identity and Character. We read through and discussed the following key terms: personal identity, personality, role models, character and integrity. We reviewed Maslow's Hierarchy of needs and he orally completed the Lesson 1 review questions.
Ben and I read about Maslowe's Hierarchy of Needs on page 58 in the textbook. We discussed each level from the foundation up: physical, safety, belonging, feeling recognized and reaching potential. He replicated the pyramid in his notes.
Ben continued taking notes on developing self-esteem. He wrote down the terms and definitions: self-esteem and competence. We discussed. We discussed specific strategies for improving self-esteem and he recorded some he would like to work on in his notes.
