This morning we continued our review of chapter five in preparation for a quiz next week. Bobby did not complete the homework from last night and did not offer any excuse. I explained to Bobby that this was not option and a bad habit that I thought we had outgrown. We worked on the homework problems which proved to be fairly easy. Homework is to complete the #'s 22-33 on page 266.
Bobby read a non-fiction article about the NHL on Newsela. He re-read to determine answers to vocabulary and comprehension questions. Bobby read an article from the internet about the Cleveland Indians mascot, Chief Wahoo. Based on the article, he formed an opinion about the mascot and whether it is racist. Bobby read a chapter in "Rot and Ruin." Bobby should review spelling words for a quiz.
Bobby edited sentences in the grammar textbook. He specifically added commas where necessary. He edited a paragraph on an Every Day Edit. He found mistakes in verb tense, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling.
Bobby will be given a walk through on how to create a new menu that reflects all of the pages that he has created thus far. Bobby will create the last of his services pages. He will use all of the sections that he created for previous pages and use the layout to create the new page. He will update the page with appropriate images and description of the service. Lastly Bobby will create a "Learn More" button and link the new page to that button.
