After warm up and stretching, Bobby did bench presses, hyperextension, abs, skull crushers, reverse curls, face pulls (rope), DB scissor kicks, Russian twists, and stability bell side crunches. They finished with cool down and stretch.
Warm up and stretch followed by frog jumps, suicides, split jumps, T Drill, push up gauntlet, BOSU ball burpees, side planks, figure 8s and cool down/stretch.

This morning we reviewed Bobby's homework problems in section 3.2. Bobby completed the problems on page 127 but could not find problems 1-3 from page 126. We completed these aforementioned problems on the whiteboard before moving forward. We practiced some of the problems in the next section that feature variables on both side of the equals. Bobby did a good job of using the same approach from the last two sections in solving this group of equations. Homework is to complete problems 1-3 on page 131 and problems 1-8 on page 133.

Lesson Comments
Partial completion of math homework continues to be a problem. Bobby blames his poor organizational skills but I am inclined to believe that he did not complete the three questions due to a lack of confidence.
We finished our review of this section in preparation for the assessment tomorrow on cell form and function. I provided Bobby with a few test taking tips including his getting plenty of rest prior to the assessment and to use his index cards as a useful study guide. I gave him a study guide which included the general topics that will be on the assessment. He must be sure to review the following concepts; osmosis, diffusion, equilibrium, and homeostasis. We spent the remainder of the period briefly discussing the difference between plant and animal cells. I introduced the concept of photosynthesis and linked this photochemical reaction with the mitochondria. Homework is to prepare for the assessment on Thursday.
This morning we continued our review of solving equations featuring variables and decimals. We completed the practice problems in section 3.2 paying close attention to our order of operations and the appropriate treatment of negative integers when combining terms. Bobby's homework is to complete problems 1-3 on page 126 and problems 3-8 on page 127.
This morning we continued our preparations for the assessment on Thursday. Bobby has completed his index cards which will serve as one of his primary study tools. We completed our review of all of the 13 cell organelles as well as several important functions that take place within the cell. These include diffusion, osmosis, equilibrium and homeostasis. One of the topics that will be covered on Thursday's assessment will be the cell membrane. Bobby will need to know that this organelle is semi permeable, consists of two layers of lipids and sandwiches the carrier proteins between the two layers.
Today Bobby displayed his ability to correctly identify the grammatical parts of a chosen sentence. Next, we continued to revise his essay for correct sentence construction, fluency and logic.
Bobby reviewed coordinating and subordinating conjunctions. He used coordinating conjunctions to make compound sentences and subordinating conjunctions to make complex sentences. He read two selections on readtheory.org and completed the comprehension questions. We share read two chapters in "A Long Walk to Water." Bobby should read and complete comprehension questions on readtheory.org
