We started our lesson by working on our Isabella essay.
Cabo worked on the vocabulary from our chapter of the textbook. He did an excellent job.
Cabo and I then went into deeper detail in his essay. We continue to have conversations about circumlocution and balancing self expression with his current ability level.

Lesson Comments
This was one of Cabo and I's first distance lessons.
We did hit a brief hiccup due to technical issues, but were able to resolve them in this same session.
Cabo and I went outside to play “I spy...” in Spanish.
Upon returning we did some work for the textbook.
Lastly, we prepared to write an essay in Spanish. Cabo answered many questions about the themes present in the book “Aventuras...”. Each of his answers will be used in our coming class sessions to create a 5 paragraph essay on the book.
Applying Grammar from the Chapter and The Present Progressive Irregulars
Lesson Outline
Cabo started the lesson by working on two involved lessons from the book. He was able to work independently and efficiently.
Cabo and I discussed the conjugation of commonly used verbs that are irregular in the present progressive. His ability to use the present progressive continues to improve.
Bobby and I read Chapter 1 of the book "The Adventures of Isabella" together. Bobby then answered 3 questions in Spanish.
Toward the end of the lesson, he was given the opportunity to choose between a more basic Spanish question and a more advanced level question. Bobby chose to take on the more difficult question. He did a fantastic job of managing the more difficult question.
I celebrated his courage and success by praising his efforts to Judie while he was present. Great Job, Bobby!
We had an oral conversation in Spanish and reviewed regular verbs and adjectives. We completed chapter 4 in the textbook and worked on building new vocabulary with the story "Why is Mr. Adams studying Spanish?"
