We reviewed our material from last class paying special attention to information that David is less likely to have covered in prior classes like pet, relatives (false cognate), and the like. David listened to a series of statements about the family tree to determine if the speaker was using proper terminology. He did a fantastic job getting these correct on his own.
We started to look at different pictures of homes and housing structures.

David arrived late today. As a result we still need to cover one more page in the text and go over the tener verb tree in our next class to keep up with my other Spanish 1 student.
Kaitlin submitted her family homework and got full credit.
We reviewed our material from last class paying special attention to information that Kaitlin is less likely to have covered in prior classes like pet, relatives (false cognate), and the like.
Kaitlin listened to a series of statements about the family tree to determine if the speaker was using proper terminology. She got the majority of these correct on her own.
We looked at some pictures of different houses and learned the words for different rooms and housing structures.
Kaitlin and I discussed the test that she took last week.
She did a great job on her test and got an A on it. We discussed the problems that she answered incorrectly and helped her understand the correct answer. These included making words plural and conjugating the verb ser.
Then we discussed some houses and homes in the US and in Spanish speaking countries. Kaitlin loved to discuss the homes and had some good thoughts on the evolution of the modern family.
We highlighted the verb tener as it will be our focus for this chapter.
We listened to a recording created by the authors of the book talking about a family from Ecuador.
