Using ser with 'de' to explain origin and to express ownership
Lesson Outline
Our first session started by helping Philip run through the subject pronouns and the conjugation of ser and working to have it memorized. Then I discussed the preposition 'de' (of/from) and how to use with ser to express and ask where someone is from. Green week break. In our second session, we continued to understand how to use ser with de since there is no apostrophe in Spanish to express ownership. We did an oral practice exercise on origin. We took a break from grammar to explore/identify Spanish-speaking countries on the world map to conclude class.
