Today we are working on the word "this" which can be masculine, feminine or plural. Ayden was grasping this. We also worked on "his" (lo) "hers" (la) and "they" (hem or hen/ masculine plural and feminine plural). Ayden is definitely comprehending this conjugation. We also worked on "I have" and "I don't have" and he was understanding this too. He definitely had his thinking cap on today! He did really well!

We worked on new vocabulary words like "apartment", "kitchen", "bathroom" and more. It was a great start to these new words. We also worked on letter recognition which Ayden was definitely grasping!
Ayden was focused today and did extremely well and remembered all the verbs we learned like "eating", "drinking", "running", "cooking" as well as the feminine/masculine/plural/singular conjugations.
I worked with Ayden using audio files today to mix things up a bit. I think it was a little harder for him without visual reference but I think the exercises were worth pushing through because he knows the vocabulary and the audio files really strengthen and reinforce what he already knows and put the vocabulary into useful sentences and these audio files, in my opinion, help pave the way toward real Hebrew conversation. I will likely continue to integrate these audio files into our lessons.
We continue to learn feminine, masculine, feminine plural and masculine plural for nouns and their corresponding verbs. "The woman cooks" vs "The women cook" for example. Verbs in Hebrew are conjugated depending on "person" (1st person, etc), "gender" (male, female) and number (singular/plural). This is not an easy concept since it does not exist in English but is a basic foundation of speaking Hebrew. We keep drilling away with patience :). I gave Ayden two words to memorize over the weekend.
We introduced a new interactive format today which Ayden responding very positively toward and I will continue with this method. I want to keep Hebrew interesting for him.
