Her reading fluency has improved with frequent readings. She is reading more multisyllsbic words correctly. She takes time to sound out each syllable of unknown words.
We started reviewing for a test on section 9–5 Functions by practicing the vertical line test and mapping domains to ranges to determine whether the equation is a function. Then we reviewed Chapter 13 Quadratics by finding the axis of symmetry, vertex, and a table of values in order to graph a quadratic function.
This morning Morgan was put to the test with an adjective review quiz! She responded to questions to provide proper adjectives and the noun being modified, identifying the predicate adjective and noun modified, choosing the correct form of comparative/superlative adjectives, and marking all limiting and descriptive adjectives within a sentence. Morgan scored a 92% on her assessment. Next, Morgan finished writing about the mysterious item received at school. She believes the item could be used as the base for a slingshot. She completed a final draft, writing so neatly with proper grammar and punctuation.
