After taking pictures for picture day Patrick reread Level E Stop Snoring. His fluency has consistently improved over the past few sessions. His comprehension remains excellent. I read from Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Patrick inferred and connected causes with effects throughout the read aloud. Next we worked on a reading response to the read aloud. Patrick remains reluctant to write. Because he has made so much progress in reading and math, writing will be a main focus in our language arts sessions.

Lesson Comments
Patrick jas made significant progress in math and reading, but is still low in writing. Specifically, his ability to generate ideas and spell correctly are weak.
Today Patrick revisited a passage about a cheetah. He reread it and reviewed the vocabulary from the text. Then he practiced using part of the question to answer the questions from the story. Patrick was able to answer the higher order thinking questions in complete sentences. He completed his first activity book for the sentence by sentences. Great job, Patrick!
