Today Patrick completed 2 modules in keyboarding. He was typing complete sentences which were dictated to him. In FF, Patrick continued his program. He played Hoop Nut and Sky Gym. In LB, Patrick began a new activity in his workbook. I read aloud a passage to him as he visualized it. He provided a picture and word summary for each individual sentence. Today, I modeled for him how to use each structure word in a description. He completed a sequencing activity, correctly, along with a cloze passage. Patrick had a fruitful day.

Lesson Comments
Patrick is always completely focused on the lesson.
Patrick continued his Fast ForWord program today. It may not show up in the stats that are emailed over the weekend. The program was not responding to saving the information for his work today, but he did complete his protocol. He played two brain games, each for 15 minutes. In Patrick's LB class, he reread a story about a salmon and responded to higher order thinking questions. He answered in complete sentences, and was able to elicit answers that he gave a lot of thought to. Patrick also correctly identified words and their meanings. He completed this actiivity. Great day!
Patrick and I reviewed short vowel sounds and c-v-c pattern. He showed a clear understanding in identifying and naming each vowel with its short sound. Patrick demonstrated his knowledge in a vowel sort and independent practice. Next, we focused on the -ab chunk. Patrick read a story, found the -ab words and then we worked together to build 1 syllable c-v-c -ab words. I noticed Patrick is confusing b and d. We will work on this next session. Patrick read aloud "Jack Can". We focused on the parts of words in the story. Lastly, we reviewed Patrick's sight words. I will assess him in these on Friday.
