Brandon read through a peer copy of the Definition paper Draft #2, noting the strengths and weaknesses of the student's approach. Brandon concluded that Zach R. needed to spend some time providing evidence for the claims the writer made about gestures in different cultural contexts. Also, the author's argument was not clearly stated in the first paragraph. After Brandon finished his review, we began his Week 7 assignments in the hope of getting a week ahead before starting his history class on Monday, 10/21.

Brandon wanted to go home early today, but he seemed swayed by my "getting ahead" logic in the wake of his history class which starts next week. If we can get far enough ahead in this class, we can devote more time to working on his history readings.
Brandon did a very good job today of making sure that he conducted a hard-copy proofreading of his Definition paper. Brandon found some small mistakes that he may have otherwise overlooked. Afterwards, Brandon got a head start on his College Algebra homework.
Brandon was able to compile one more source to finalize the second draft of his Definition paper. Afterwards, he answered one of the discussion post prompts about whether or not Edward Snowden is a traitor or a whistleblower. Things moved a bit slowly today; I think Brandon is growing wary of the Writing Mode, Definition. We were able to work and have some fun, though. I will call today a success.
Brandon spent a lot of time trying to find definitions as per the instructors comments. We found good articles and incorported them into his paper, cleaned up any grammatical errors, and then added to his bibliography. He should be in good shape.
