Brandon received very good feedback on the first draft of his Definition paper. Mainly, the grader commented on the first smaller body paragraphs, prompting Brandon to elaborate on some components of Strategic Management as though he were unfamiliar with the concept. This meant that Brandon had to define sub-terms and explain how they helped to compose the bigger picture that is Strategic Management. I was very proud of how the grader lauded Brandon's "smooth, expert use of the English language."
Brandon got through most of this week's readings for College Composition with me today. We had a healthy discussion about Snowden and the NSA leak after reading through articles that presented traitor/hero points of view. Brandon has some work to do on in-text citations, but this is nothing that he can't complete within the week.
Brandon continued to research articles for his composition class and we were able to find all 15 that he needs. All he has to do tomorrow is write a bibliography and he's done for the week.
Brandon needs to research the online database and find 15 articles to go along with his Strategic Management paper. It's a long process, but Brandon was very meticulous about his choices. We found a few but have all week to work on it.
Brandon and I looked up the APA guidelines for his reference page and then started work on converting his reference sheet into an actual reference page. Brandon was a bit late for today's session, so we couldn't get as much done. Overall, he is making good progress in the class, but this week he seemed worn. Working on the same assignment all week long was a bit uneventful.
Brandon and I continue to work on his bibliography, gathering more sources for part two of his definition paper. We gathered a few more sources and then made sure that we had the URLs on our reference list page. Brandon seemed a bit tired today and the school website went down for about 20 minutes during our session. In the end, we managed to get back on track. Ideally, we will finish this assignment tomorrow.

Brandon conducted some preliminary research to support the draft of his Definition paper. We brainstormed areas where Brandon needed to provide evidence for his claims and then separated these categories into "Google" and "Northeastern Database" resources, as per his professor's guidelines. Once we examined a document for pertinence, I had Brandon highlight exactly what he would use and write a note explaining why. Afterwards, we compiled a preliminary list that we will use to generate his reference page.

Whenever there is a switch in class pace and assignments it takes a while to get Brandon focused on the task. Once the ball is rolling, though, Brandon gets into a rhythm and begins to work. We will have to monitor his task adjustments, especially when he starts his history course in a few weeks.
