Lesson Outline
The session began with a review of solving problems involving money. Symone had to complete two steps in order to solve the problem. Next she worked on solving long division problems with remainders. We spent most of the session solving this type of problem. The final part of the session was spent determining how many of specific types of coins were needed to equal a set amount of money. Symone used play money to solve these problems.

Lesson Outline
Symone began the session with a review of basic division facts. She worked on pictographs. During this part of the lesson key words for problem solving were discussed. We continued to work on two step problems that involved the use of money. For the final part of the session, Symone and the instructor played multiplication war.

The session began with a multiplication warm-up. Symone was given two number cards and asked to create number sentence and then solve it. Next she practiced long division. The instructor reviewed the steps for long division and then Symone solved several problems on the white board. Symone was asked to figure out the amount of money when given a specific amount of coins. She practiced counting and adding various monetary amounts. Symone was given some word problems to solve involving money. She made a model of the dollar amount and then solved the problems. For the final part of the lesson Symone practiced basic division facts.

Word Problems, Multiplication and Inequalities
Lesson Outline
The session began with a game of multiplication war. Symone then completed a math multiplication sheet. She scored 100%. Great job on those facts, Symone! We then did comparisons of products using the greater than and less than symbols. For the final aspect of the session we solved money word problems. The instructor had Symone use play money to create models for the amounts needed to solve each problem. She also compared monetary amounts using the greater than and less than symbols.

Symone began the session with a warm up of multiplication, division and subtraction facts. She is doing a fantastic job with her multiplication facts. We solved some problems using a pictograph. The instructor will find more pictograph problems for Symone to solve for our next session. The final part of the lesson had as its focus two step problem solving.

Symone began the session with a multiplication warm-up exercise. Then she did a division warm-up. We continued to solve multiplication word problems. These problems have factors with two and three digits. Symone was given a pictograph work sheet. We discussed the key and then she answered all of the questions. For the final part of the lesson we worked on solving two step type problems. The instructor gave Symone a practice sheet with the 7 and 8 multiplication facts.

Symone began the session with a review of multiplication, addition and/or subtraction. She worked on subtraction problems with zeros and regrouping. We reviewed place value. She solved several word problems that required her to either multiply or divide. Symone did a super job today.

Lesson Outline
The session began by playing math games (subtraction, addition and multiplication)using playing cards. We reviewed Greatest Common Multiple. The instructor also reviewed irrational numbers with Symone. We discussed how to solve word problems and then worked on some two step problems. For the final part of the lesson, Symone was asked to solve subtraction problems with regrouping and complete 13 basic multiplication facts.

Lesson Outline
The session began with a game of multiplication war. Symone then worked on basic division facts. Word problems were presented for Symone to solve. During this aspect of the lesson we reviewed basic subtraction. We used the Everyday Math cards to practice basic subtraction facts. Strategies for solving word problems were discussed. We will continue to work subtraction and word problems.
