Continued exploring Newton's Laws of motion, continuing to build physics intuition and problem solving tools to represent motion using vectors. Emphasizing the utility of vectors to represent forces in a free body diagram. Additionally Introduced concept of vector addition.
The vowel sounds for closed and vowel-consonant-e syllables were recited. The instructor had Hunter review the guidelines for identifying closed and vowel-consonant-e syllables. We discussed the work attributed to the itinerant poet Homer and explored the ancient Greek custom of oral history in which the tales of Homer were passed along from generation to generation. We discussed the "Iliad" and "Odyssey" of Homer as they relate to the Trojan War. We used the text to explore the demise of the Mycenaeans and their replacement by another Greek-speaking group: the Dorians. We searched and found several images of the Trojan Horse on the Internet.

Today, I returned Hunter's Vocabulary Test results and we decided to retest. He wrote out the challenging words on index cards for better review. We will retest tomorrow (Tuesday). We also continued to work on The Giver essay.
