Matthew created an electromagnet using a battery, copper wire and a piece of iron-containing metal to pick up a paper clip. He used a slinky to create transverse and longitudinal waves.
Aiden practiced the following Kundalini spinal/vagus nerve warm-up exercises with synchronized breath: 3 Om chants, spinal flex, Sufi grind, shoulder shrugs, neck rolls, spinal twists (helicopter), butterflies and sitting toe touch. He completed a 13-minute open-eye meditation. Instructions for meditation: Sit cross legged, gaze at position on floor 4-6 feet in front of you, straight spine, focus awareness on inhale and exhale, when thoughts arise label the thoughts "thinking" then return attention to breath.
I highly recommend that Aiden complete these exercises and meditation at least 5 days a week to re-train his nervous system. He may work up to a 20-minute meditation per day after completing the exercises.
Matthew built a STEM kit raft "Stay Afloat." He used model wood planks, logs, styrofoam rectangles and rubber bands to keep a family of 4 figurines afloat in water.
Matthew built a homemade cup and string telephone. We tested it out and made adjustments to increase sound loudness. We discussed how sound travels through matter. We planted pea seeds in the garden and watered.
Matthew and I built a ramp/rollercoaster out of paper, tape, and nerf ball bullets. We discussed how increasing the height of the ramp will increase the velocity and kinetic energy of the ball.
