Loulie continued the lesson on plants today. She cut out a picture of pieces of a plant and glued them together on a piece on construction paper. We colored the plant and labeled each part (roots, stem, leaves, flower). We also discussed what a plant needs to grow (soil, water, sun, air, space). We took down the glove with the seeds she planted in cotton balls last week and observed their growth. We got some dirt and she planted each seed in a cup and set the cups in the window to see if they will grow.
Loulie and I practiced the routine of singing the alphabet, months of the year, days of the week, today's date and weather.
Louile painted, cut and glued a Valentine craft. She practiced her fine motor skills by making of a Valentine's letter written in Spanish for Mom & Dad.
Louile and I practiced with a capital vs lower case tridimensional puzzle, which made Loulie use her skill of concentration.

Louile really liked the activity shown today as it involved playing like the indians and ejoyed making the indian hats.
She was overall incredibly engaged and had a lot of fun
Today Loulie and I made chocolate covered strawberries. First we washed all the strawberries. Next we melted the chocolate and dipped each strawberry into the chocolate. Loulie placed each chocolate covered strawberry on parchment paper so they wouldn’t stick to the plate. We let the chocolate harden in the refrigerator before adding the decorative white chocolate.
Loulie and I built cube towers to measure things in our room and to compare numbers. We found that Loulie is 55 cubes tall. While building, we created color patterns. We learned the Peanut Butter and Jelly song as she ate her lunch. Then we played in the sand box, forming letters and making their sounds. We read 'Are You My Mother?'and a Pinkalicious story, noticing how the illustrator tells the story with his pictures.
Today, Loulie had fun with a lady bug counting activity. She began by using her fine motor skills to cut out the numbers 1-19. Then, she closed her eyes and picked one of the numbers. Using a dry erase marker, Loulie drew that amount of spots onto a big red lady bug. To finish, we read the book Help me Learn Numbers by Jean Marzollo.
Today we worked on a, e, i, o and u. We did some exercises with them and reviewed their sounds. Also, we danced to : La Bamba, and Waka -Waka of Shakira. We had a blast today.
Pajama Day! Louie, Wilbur and I snuggled up with our comfy blanket and read 'Harry the Dirty Dog'. Louie actively predicted story events as we read, figuring out the problem before it was stated in the story. We sang our Alligator song, pointing to the letters on her wall as we sang. Louie used the letters a-h and correctly sequenced them while identifying each letter name and sound. We used our jumbo dice to roll and perform the determined number of actions. (1-12) Ms. Pat can't hop more than 12 times! Louie also read a familiar nursery rhyme on Raz-Kids and earned 50 stars!
Louile and I practiced the daily session routine consisting of the alphabet, months of the year, days of the week, today's date & weather.
We then began our flamenco energetic dancing class learning some new steps in dancing. There was a lot of laughter throughout this part of the session.
We then practiced uppercase vs. lowercase letters. Louie did a wonderful job in identifying the initial letter of the word in the drawing shown, and then proceeded to identify the upper and lowercase letter of each drawing.
