We talked about the idea and discussed managing a budget. We plan to continue working on the mobile salon business and developing financial ratios to track performance and analyze results.

Andrew is so focused on the movie he will make with Mr. Marcus that he wasn't receptive to working on his business development spreadsheet. We adjusted and I had him build a spreadsheet to track acting assignments for all characters in Star Wars with Batt School students and employees.
Today we continued with PERT Exam Prep given the short timeline for Bobby to take the test. We will catch up on the business model using Excel / PowerPoint / Word after the exam.

Bobby scored about 50% on his practice test, but I don't think he is too far from doing much better. Some concepts were just old and needed to be refreshed. I expect good improvement in the next few weeks.
Dutch continued to build an Excel model for his Charter Fishing Business Idea. He learned to add/multiply/divide and copy cells in the spreadsheet. He modeled the monthly cost and revenue of his business and will continue in our next session.

Bobby worked on questions with me and found that several questions he needed more review time. I'm hopeful the test can be taken before Thanksgiving, but we shall see how we progress first!
We discussed all software Ben has had experience with in order to narrow down focus on new software he needs to learn. It appears he has limited exposure to Microsoft Office so we will begin there in the next session.

Ben was found outside in the rain when it was initially time for class. When he returned he would not identify any software he would like to learn, so I suggested Microsoft Office software. He was not interested but we will try to work on a project during our next session.
Today we continued to learn Excel functions to model Sophia's Mobile Salon Business idea. We formatted cells, copy and paste, summed columns of numbers, and updated costs and revenues.

Bobby works very well with me and tries very hard. He clearly has some weaknesses in Algebra, but we are trying to get him up to speed quickly. I am optimistic about Bobby passing the PERT.
Today we started building a spreadsheet in Dutch's channel with me. We are learning to use Excel to perform calculations for revenues and costs for his future charter fishing business. He used excel to calculate MPG on his father's boat so far.
