Luke had a great session today. He did two reading comprehension stories and scored 6/6 on both. We worked on multiple meaning words and this was a little tricky for him. He had difficulties being able to understand that one word could have two or more different meanings. We will keep up with this.

Richard had a great session today. He worked on looking at a list of words and then putting them in alphabetical order. Richard did a great job of using strategies to help himself. He asked his teacher to write out the alphabet so that he had a visual as he went through the words. He then took his time to cross off the words he had already used. Richard also worked on conversation with a peer today. Focusing on his TH/S sounds with 90% accuracy.

Chris was excited to show off his new haircut this morning. Using humor as a strategy upon receiving a compliment was a perfect segue into the focus of today's session. Review of perspective taking, presupposition and "Social Thinking" strategies provided the framework for continued discussion regarding the dynamics of peer relationships. Conversational reciprocity was strong today with cycles ranging from 4-7 conversational turns, and characterized by increased use of contingent comments. Speaker -speaker overlap was notably decreased this session as comment acknowledgment was more frequently expanded upon. Strong session today.

S: Noah was seen at the Batt School for treatment. He was eager to work with the SLP for the duration of the session. O: Noah was asked to follow a variety of 1-2 step related directions. He completed the activity with 70% accuracy. Noah was then asked to sequence 4 visuals given immediate verbal information. He completed the activity with 75% accuracy. After, Noah answered mixed “wh” questions about an activity completed given a field of 3 visual answer choices. He completed the activity with 84% accuracy. Then, Noah was asked to identify spatial concepts in a field of 3 answer choices. He completed the activity with 70% accuracy. Lastly, Noah completed a quantitative concept (e.g. all/none, more/less, one/many) activity with 73% accuracy. A: Consistent progress displayed across POC goals. P: Continue with current POC.

Chris was observably tired this morning, however, he was eager as always to "talk about lots of stuff." Conversational reciprocity was notably strong this session, as awareness of speaker -speaker overlap was acknowledged 75% of the time, with frequent attempts to revise and repair the overlap. Contingent responses to both question and comment were noted with increased frequency as well. Topic shifting was supported with familiar cue strategies, as rapid shifting was noted today. Review of "social thinking" strategies as well as the "zones of regulation" was a priority during today's session as navigating peer relationships continues to be a vital focus of intervention.

Chris was eager to initiate conversation as the session commenced once again. He was wanting to expand upon the topics and discussion that have been the focus of the last few sessions once more. Allowance for reciprocity was stronger today, with noted use of familiar repair and revision strategies during instances of speaker -speaker overlap. Increased topic shifting was noted today, and provision of familiar supports allowed for increased use of transition phrases and topic transition strategies as the session progressed. Continued expansion into the areas of self awareness, presupposition and perspective taking was also a focus today.

Luke had an excellent session today. He sat for 2 long comprehensions stories (1st grade) and answered questions with great accuracy. Luke then did a vocabulary worksheet where he provided definitions for words and did a nice job. Luke earned time outside because of his great listening and attention toady!

Richard had an excellent session today. He did two 4th grade reading comprehension worksheets (clinician read to him). 10/12 on the first and 6/10 on the second. He recalled the main idea and important details of the story. Richard also did a 4th grade word definitions worksheet where he was asked vocabulary words and their definitions. He described 7/10 words without difficulty.

Richard had a great session today. Richard received 100% on answering questions about a 10 paragraph story read aloud. He did an excellent job following the story and attending to the details. Richard did a nice job defining age appropriate vocabulary words with minimal help. Richard finished the session with another long listening comprehension worksheet about life cycles. He did a great job and demonstrated great comprehension of the story. 95% accuracy.
