Chris was motivated and participatory this morning, however, increased attentional shifting was noted for the duration of the session. Chris was observably tired, and familiar scaffolding supports were provided as the session commenced. Chris continues to demonstrate increased self awareness and promptly shared that he was "thinking a lot this morning." He expanded upon his "internal distraction" and this afforded an excellent opportunity to review familiar strategies to support self regulation and focus. He laughed as he shared that we "haven't needed to talk about this stuff in a long time since my brain doesn't jump away anymore really when we are together." Strategies were utilized, and Chris was able to respond to comment and question with decreased requests for repetition of the stimulus. Self repetition was noted frequently, and was effective.

The session commenced this morning with Chris unexpectedly initiating the session from home a few minutes ahead of schedule.
He was commended once more for his timeliness and sense of responsibility. He was clearly tired, and he did share that he had attended a local Halloween event Sunday night, and returned home quite late. He briefly shared details regarding the event, and rapidly segued into a preferred topic. He was eager to share and discuss the current status of his "plush" collection. The huge collection was carefully organized into "sections" in preparation for his upcoming move. Scaffolding supports provided a baseline to assist Chris with linear presentation of details regarding the characters, their associations and relatedness. Varied question stimuli provided provided a foundation for increased topic expansion. Conversational reciprocity was characterized by expanded cycles of exchange, however, instances of overlap were notably high. Supports to reduce instances of overlap were successful and Chris continues to demonstrate stronger awareness of conversational breakdown and subsequent use of repair strategies.
