Chris was observably tired this session. He shared that he was awake last night from 11:00 pm through 1:00 am. He was eager to discuss his plans to collaborate with a fellow "plush-tuber" and create new "content." Provision of cues and supports guided linguistic organization and the use of cohesive ties as he shared details regarding his YouTube friend from Columbia and this upcoming collaboration. Attentional shifting was strong today, as Chris was clearly tired. Additional cues were provided throughout the duration of the session to support the use of temporal links, and topic transitions. Speaker-speaker overlap was notably increased this session. Awareness of overlap and "listener confusion" was inconsistent this session. Motivation remained high throughout the session however.

Noah greeted the clinician with a big hug and was very excited for his session. Noah worked on multi syllabic words initially. He worked on using dot paints to tap out the words. He focused on 3 & 4 syllable words today. Words with L were the most challenging for him today. ~75% accuracy.
We then took a break outside where we discussed the sky and how it looked like it was going to storm. We worked on some S-blends while outside. These were challenging, even with tactile cues. Once back inside, we focused on action picture cards. Noah engaged well during this activity because he was able to dot paint the actions. His accuracy is increasing significantly with these actions in addition to him using 3+ words together to describe them. 'Doggy is digging,' 'baby is happy,' 'catching a fish.' Lastly, Noah requested play doh where he worked on actions such as cut, roll, etc.

He was so much more aware of what these words mean and how to come up with the two meaning of the words. Richard was so proud of himself. He was able to define the meaning of 8/10 words. Previously he was at 4-5/10. While working on these words, we continued to address TH sounds.

Noah transitioned very well into the session today. He requested magna tiles. During magna tiles we worked on conversation. A peer his age was on the playground and Noah asked to play. We went outside. Noah answered 'What is your name?' and then with prompting asked the peer 'What is your name?' Noah did an excellent job engaging with this peer. Noah wanted the peer to come play on the slide with him but did not know how to ask. With prompting, 'Do you want to come on slide?' Great social interaction/language opportunity.
When back inside, Noah focused on the present progressive form to increase sentence length. Noah looked at a variety of action pictures and was able to give 3+ words to describe them. He is not yet independently using he/she/girl/boy/they to describe the pictures but rather says 'eating a hot dog.' We focused on adding a pronoun/noun to the start of the sentence. With cues, he was able to do so 75% of the time.

Chris was eager for the session to commence as he rapidly initiated conversation this morning. Attentional shifting was strong and familiar scaffolding supports were provided. Conversational expansion was facilitated by the use of predominantly question driven stimuli, as comment-comment exchanges were characterized by simple affirmation and subsequent topic change. Familiar cues were provided throughout the session, as transition phrases were utilized. However, it is noted that use of "Ms. Lynne, I gotta question" and " I need to tell you something" were used interchangeably regardless of the content of Chris' message. Familiar supports facilitated subsequent increased self awareness, instances of self correction, clarity of intent and increased linguistic organization.

Noah happily transitioned into the session today. He was excited to get started and immediately requested the vet backpack. After working on language skills with pretend play (requesting, commenting, etc) we moved onto articulation. Today the focus was on L-blends. We worked on
- black bear
-blackberry
-flower
-climb
-glasses
-glue
-plate

With cues, Noah was able to produce L correctly in all of the blends. Without a cue, he continued to produce a /w/ for the L sound. "Cwimb" instead of "climb." He required moderate cues, 50% accuracy.

Noah requested play doh at the end where we focused on the L in play doh. He was able to say play with the L 5x.
