15 minute conversation in French... Abby then created 20 original sentences in French in her journal. She needed assistance with only a few vocabulary words. Her grammar was very good.

Abby gave the answers to the 30 questions at the end of chapter 11 of Phantom. She did an excellent job. She also read a summary of the chapter. Very little grammar needed correction.

15-minute French discussion review of Chapter 10 events of Phantom of the Opera. Abby then read Chapter 11, in French. She identified irregular verbs and idiomatic phrases. She translated and added new words to her word bank. For homework she will do the 30 questions at the end of the chapter.

Abby created 21 original sentences into her journal. She needed only a few vocabulary words and very minor grammar reminders. Intermittently, we carried on a conversation in French.

As it is officially the beginning of the 4th marking period, today was used as a grammar review. Using the grammar textbook and the activity sheets all 5 major tenses were reviewed in usage, formation and translation. The tenses were: present, future, conditional, imperfect and past. Practice verbs were given and Abby changed each verb into the 5 tenses.

This hour was devoted to French conversation. We discussed Spring break using the past tense. Abby created original sentences and did very well. I made only periodic corrections to grammar and pronunciation, and added only a few vocabulary words.

Abby completed reading chapter 10 of Phantom of the Opera, in French. She translated and identified grammar and idiomatic phrases along with new vocabulary. She then answered the 20 questions at the end of the chapter. She did very well.
