We began the session by discussing the ACT. Ayden didn't understand that his accommodations allow him to take the test over three consecutive days, in-person at the Batt School, with a reader if he chooses. I texted his mom, and we chose June 14-16 as the target dates and confirmed that Ayden could use a calculator. Ayden and I then practiced the test's reading section; he read a passage independently and answered 15 comprehension questions. For those that he missed, we went over strategies to attack the questions better.
Ayden and I reviewed his test accommodations and his test-taking window. We completed the first 15 questions of the English section of a practice test. Ayden reviewed his vocabulary flashcards and added three words to the deck.
We reviewed Ayden's ACT flashcards, and Ayden added two words to the deck. We finished writing his research essay, added a title page, and edited it using Grammarly. Ayden shared the document with Ms. Judie.
