Kellan began with the daily review questions on estimating length and determining place value before the 3s and 4s facts were reviewed with flashcards. Then, we continued working on 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication. Today, Kellan began by taking the final timed 3s fact check needed to show mastery, marking it as complete on his progress chart. Then, using the flashcards, he practiced the 0, 1, 2, 3, and 5 facts quickly and in random order. Our lesson introduced the concept of 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication. The standard algorithm steps were discussed while correlating examples were completed on the whiteboard using the above factors.
