Letter Recognition/Initial Consonant sound – picking up a picture card Penny had to make the initial sound of the picture and determine which letter it started with, then she placed the picture on the corresponding letter card.

Sight-word recognition – Fishing game - Each colorful fish is printed with a common sight-word...Penny used the magnetic fishing pole to “catch” the fish, say the word, and blend the sounds when needed.
Letter Recognition/Initial Consonant sound of Qq- I read the Qq book, which had many pictures of words that started with “qu”.

Letter Formation – Using wooden rods in the shapes of a “C” and “I”, large and small in size, she made all the lower-case letters of the alphabet.
Grammar – Capital Letter Rule 3 – Capitalize the first letter in the first word in a quote. Had to edit a paragraph looking for capital letters where they need to go.

Light dynamic warm-up to get the blood flowing and loosen muscles. Transition into a dynamic stretch before start of activities... Penny and I played a series of catching and throwing drills that allowed her to improve on her overall coordination and body control.
