Today we practiced recognizing numbers 1-100 and printing numbers 1-10. We also talked about how to tell when it is morning time. Penny also did a fabulous job counting the numbers. Penny enjoys playing counting and learning games on the computer as well.

Penny is amazing and asked her brother if he would teach her to play chess. She loves the Disney princesses.
Letter Sound – I sang the letter sound song while pointing to the letters with my teacher pointer and then Penny did it. We repeated this 3 times to reinforce the sounds of each letter.
Letter Identification/Initial Sound – Using picture cards she picked up a picture card, identified the initial sound, and matched it to the letter.
Sight Words – Penny worked on blending 2 sounds together to make a word such as; am, is, it, and at.
Penny also played a game on my I-Pad to work on her letter sounds.

In her book titled, “Getting Ready for The Code” book A - Penny completed oral directions for the letter “Ff”.
Penny also played a game on my I-Pad to work on her letter sounds.
Letter Identification – Penny finished placing all upper case letter cards in alphabetical order while repeating the alphabet song.

Letter Sounds – Today we played school. Penny was the teacher , at times, and then I was (ha, ha). Using a pointer and an alphabet strip we would sing an alphabet “sound” song and then, taking turns, pointed to a letter and give its name and sound.
Penny also played a game on my I-Pad to work on her letter sounds.
Today we practiced numbers 1-20 on the computer. Penny also had fun counting how many times she could shoot the bow and arrow. She was VERY good at it!
Today we focused on counting to 100 with the 100 number grid on paper and on the computer with math games. Additionally, we practiced writing numbers, counting, more and fewer. We also played Candyland counting the colors in total with the princess characters.
Letter Identification – Penny continued to play the game from yesterday, where she picked a letter card, told me its name, and placed it on the floor. She then selected a block out of a bag and had to tell me the letter sound. She placed it on the matching letter card that was on the floor. She matched a block for each letter then we placed all cards in alphabetical order.

I showed Penny the work that she had completed thus far and let her know that we had to place the head, create a neck, update the shoes and make bows for the shoes. Once we completed all the work we took the sculpture to the oven to be baked.
