Bella was 15 minutes late for class. Today she reviewed SAT vocabulary studied and practiced with an online applying and utilizing the words. She then took a test on all the words.
2-1 Slope-Intercept Form – Bella learned how to use the slope-intercept form, y= mx + b to find the equation of a line given an ordered pair (x, y) and the y-intercept b= (0, y).

I arrived at the campus and was informed Bella was at home and attending her classes online this day. I was completely unprepared to teach any topics online, only prepared for a hands-on skills class. I was given a laptop and went to Bellas classroom and had a brief online conversation with her encouraging her to attend our classes in person, particularly the 3-hour skills classes on Thursdays.
Judy and I then had a followup meeting in the conference room regarding how Bella was doing in class currently and ways to encourage her in the future.
Review of a previous application of foil highlighting skills and net results.
Planning the next application in the remaining two sections for Thursday's class.

Bella read two chapters of A Thousand Splendid Suns. She then discussed and analyzed the character development of Miriam and elaborated on the theme of oppression and its effect on her relationship with Rasheed. Bella then reviewed SAT vocabulary and I introduced a new set of words. She will study tonight for a quiz tomorrow.
