Tristan worked on addition to 1000 with whole numbers and decimal amounts by finding the missing values of equations and finding the value of base ten models. Together, we completed area related problems using 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication and Tristan finished with rounding to the specified places of 7-digit numbers.
Tristan completed a hands-on activity, interacting with magnets as a performance assessment. Tristan completed a lab sheet, completing a hypothesis, data collection in a table, and answering questions such as if the hypothesis is correct and drawing conclusions. Tristan filled in if the materials such as aluminum foil, an eraser, penny, pencil, and paper clip are magnetic or not.
Tristan and I read a Time for Kids debate article about whether or not movie theaters should stay in business after the pandemic. He agreed with the pro position, that the theaters should reopen and continue showing big-screen movies. His main argument is we need somewhere to go on rainy weekends.
Tristan spent some time packing up his room today.
