I introduced Jaydn to a Bio-Poem today. We discussed how it can be used as a creative way to introduce oneself to others, and that it follows a prescribed template. Jaydn was shown a sample and I shared the Bio-Poems created by her brothers, Matthew and Andrew, which she found interesting. Jaydn was interested and amenable to making a Bio-Poem and was reflective in her choice of the adjectives used to describe herself. She responded to all the prompts with consideration and I read the poem back to her upon completion. She had no edits and was pleased with the way it turned out. I offered to type it and email it to her when done. This proved to be an interesting and engaging activity, and Jaydn responded with openness and candor. We finished the session with a discussion about animal rights, and I read Jaydn an article about SeaWorld and its treatment of Orcas, tying in the thirteenth amendment as justification for the side of animal activists. We exchanged many ideas on both sides of a debate about the issue - advocating for the rights of animals and a counter argument defending peoples' rights. While aligned in our opinions, we discussed both sides with objectivity and consideration. Jaydn was able to defend her viewpoint clearly and offered valid arguments to defend her point of view.

Lesson Comments
I subbed for an hour, from 12:30 - 1:30. I do not know for whom I subbed, but I decided upon the subject Language Arts Enrichment.
Jaydn read, discussed, and analyzed the next three chapters of The Glass Castle. She then wrote a short essay on the use of allusion of Oz and the Emerald City as it relates to the hopes and fears of the protagonist in these chapters.

Lesson Comments
Jaydn did not have the camera on today. She was given an opportunity to work on the deaf trivia awareness activity.
The plan was to extend my lesson from yesterday to discuss more pairs of angles. Unfortunately, Jaydn was not attending today. There was no assignment.
After a delayed start, I explained how adjacent angles which add together to form a straight line are called a linear pair and their sum is 180 degrees. I also explained how vertical angles are related to each other and the fact that they are congruent. There was no assignment.

Lesson Comments
I was unable to reach Jaydn on Teams for the first half of the session.
Once I successfully contacted her, she was able to understand the lesson without too much difficulty.
