Will is learning additional Scratch coding techniques by following one of the site's tutorials. He has advanced enough that he can modify the tutorial instructions to create different animations.
Will shared his final project to the Scratch community, adding instructions and credits. Will began a new, short project, following a tutorial so he can learn a few new coding options.
Will finished his project by adding a closing scene. To have the words, "The End," come on the screen, he had to first modify his script for his "raining" tacos and then add new script to all the characters and items so they would disappear from view.
Will finished his Scratch story by adding the rest of the dialogue and animating the characters' mouths so they look as if they are talking. Will learned how to use a new script to prompt the characters to respond when one speaks to the other.
Will moved on to the next part of his animation, putting together the scripts that will make it appear as if tacos are raining from the sky. He experimented with different speeds, so that the taco-rain would look more random. He is now adding more dialogue, so has to work again with timing.
Will added complexity to his animation for his Star Wars story. By including back-and-forth dialogue, he has to consider not just the words the characters say, but the timing and mouth movements as well. Will also wrote a sound script to play at a certain point in the story.
Will is creating dialogue and animation for his Scratch characters. He is figuring out how to incorporate pauses and repeats to create the correct timing for the sequence of events.
Jackson began class with keyboarding exercises designed to improve his typing skills. Then, to tie this class in with his research project, he learned how to refine keyword searches so that the articles returned by the search engine were more likely to be relevant to his requirements.
Will continues to work with his Star Wars project on Scratch. We ran into a glitch with one of the sprites (characters) Will had imported into the program. We devised a plan to redo that part of the project so that the character and its dialogue match up.
Will worked with his newest figure (sprite), using the paint tool to clean up the background. He is working out the story and the sequence of the animation and scripts.

This class is usually 45 minutes, but Will's next teacher wasn't there, so I stayed an extra 15 minutes until someone could come in.
