I would like to note an observation I've made about Cameron. He is quite a fidgeter, mostly with breaking things apart whether it be erasers, pencils, paper, etc. he makes little creations and perseverates on that. His distraction in little tasks like this is what leads to poor comprehension in my class. Whether it be directions or a text. When I have him fully engaged, he comprehends so much of what we do/read. He is very distracted and I've been connected the dots back to his performance in class. He's a great student - this is not to say otherwise. I just wanted to note this observation :) He is very capable.
In today's class, we would have began our introduction into evolution, talking about some of the first people to come up with the idea of evolution, including Aristotle, Carolus Linnaeus, and Charles Lyell. We also would have talked about Lamarck's idea of use and disuse and population growth.
