Calendar, Warm-Up Activity, Vocabulary, Lesson 1.3 Arrays and Properties
Lesson Outline
Liam and I began our session with a calendar activity - identifying the month, day of the week, date, time, weather, and his feelings. Liam then completed a warm-up activity - completing ten problems focusing on math strategies. Liam then copied down lesson 1.2 and 1.3 vocabulary - number line, array, rows, columns, commutative (order) properties of multiplication. Lastly, Liam began working on Lesson 1.3 Arrays and Properties, completing guided practice problems.
Liam completed a reading comprehension activity on a story he read, "Moving Day." We reviewed our rules on pronouns and explored how they were used in the story. We talked about verbs and their use in sentences, and then completed an activity discovering them in the story. We listed short e words and then used them to make a story.
