Teddy was interested in building with some blocks, so we counted some of the blocks like rhythms. We put them down in different sets and counted the numbers in rhythm. Then, we listened to some music and played the ukelele while he continued building with the blocks.
We played on the drum set, and on the hand percussion instruments. We used the maracas, the castanets, and the rhythm sticks to create some different sounds and rhythms. We learned about how castenets are used in flamenco music. We also played along to some songs on the drum set.
We played some on the electric keyboard, and worked on some basic drumming technique. We learned how to properly grip the sticks and hit the drums. We played along to some songs and tried to tap along to the beat while counting to 4.
We learned the proper way to grip the drum sticks, and how to properly hit the drums. We talked about basic rhythm, and counting to 4 while keeping time. We listened to several songs from animated movies and played along to them on the drums trying to keep a basic 4 count rhythm with them. We learned about the different parts of the drum set and talked about the different sounds made by each of them.
