We continued working on Jersey Giant, and Margaritaville. We introduced a few new songs: Cheeseburger in Paradise, Friends in Low Places, and Changes in Latitude/Changes in Attitude. We also worked through the intro to Dream On. We played lots of different chord voicings and alternate postitions.
I left a video lesson on Teams covering a chord progression using the G, D, Am, and C chords, the G major scale, and the chromatic scale. I also covered the note names at the first 5 frets on each of the 6 strings.
We continued working on the into lead solo to One by Metallica. We added the last part today to complete the intro solo. We now need to work on playing it in rhythm and up to speed with the recording.
We continued working on the songs A Country Boy Can Survive, Jersey Giant, and Margaritaville. We also used the electric guitar to explore power chords, playing with an amplifier, and playing with effects. We learned a rock chord progression.
We continued working on the songs Matthew is learning: Jersey Giant, A Country Boy Can Survive, and Margaritaville. We also began looking at the chord progression to another song called Feathered Indians. We looked at portable chord shapes like barre chords to create the B minor and F# minor chords.
We worked on several of the songs Matthew has been learning and focused on strumming rhythm and accuracy while switching chords. We worked on A Country Boy Can Survive, Jersey Giant, and Margaritaville. We also listened to a few songs to try to pick a few new ones to learn.
