Lesson Comments
Nicky worked diligently on the IXL program and increased his competency on reading informational passages to 80%. This skill set is very important! I encouraged him to work to 100%. He took on the challenge and also worked on citing the best evidence to support a claim. These are the two most needed skills in language arts. Nicky demonstrated the initiative to go back in to the IXL Diagnostic and increase his reading level.
In an effort to cover all of the Social Studies topics that won't be covered in future grades, Nicky and I jumped to Chapter 24 where we encountered subject material surrounding the economy. We worked through the guided reading sheet and finished a lesson for 24.1.
