Libby and I reviewed the words for Left, Right, and Straight.
She guided us around the school by giving instructions as we came to different junctions.
We first navigated to acquire 2 avatars for our next activity from the drama room.
We then navigated back to the classroom.
Our next activity was to use our gameboard to give directions to a girl doll trying to get to her chair.
Libby did a great job of navigating the board.
She will still occasionally confuse the direction words one with another. She has comprehensible pronunciation and does an especially good job when she is to give the same direction twice in a row within a sequence.
Libby worked on coloring a graphic design (mandala) she selected; given a choice of 4 options. She chose one with an owl and did an excellent job matching colors. Libby remained focused and finished a good portion of her comprehensive assignment in the time allotted.

With twistables, magnetic letters, and writing paper, Libby practiced her sight words (and, the, on, off, with, has) and short vowel words. She wrote a story in her journal. I read a Christmas book to her.
Interactive Calendar Vocabulary Owls Daily Sentence Puzzle Making an Angel
Lesson Outline
Libby completed her interactive calendar. She read and discussed her vocabulary words. She put together her daily sentence puzzle. She made an owl booklet. She made an angel ornament for the hallway Christmas tree.
Libby and I worked on doing directions in Spanish.
She was told the words left, right, and straight. She practiced saying the words several times. She is still working on getting the perfect pronunciations but says the words well enough to be understood. This is great because the word for left can be quite difficult.
She then navigated from her classroom to the back of the school (art room) by giving me directions each time that we arrived at a decision point in the school.
Then, she chose two animals to which we would give directions. She chose 2 frogs. We would flip a coin to see how far the frogs would move each turn.
She helped her from go from the path to the water by giving it directions each turn.
To begin, Libby and I reviewed terms plus sign, combine, total, and equal sign. Then, she worked on an addition coloring activity. She colored the objects in two groups while creating a story to match. Then, she wrote an addition equation to model the two groups and their total. Finally, she practiced reading her equations using the correct terminology.
Libby used rubber letters, boogie board, and writing paper to practice her sight words (and, the, on, off, with, has) and short vowel words. She did another story for her journal. I read a Christmas story to her.
