Lesson Outline
Sadee enjoyed going on a 'letter and sound hunt'. Given letters, Sadee had fun looking around the school for objects that began with the specific letters and then writing the letters. She practiced writing her name and letters I, U, E and T. Sadee used the dry erase markers to practice reading and writing words in the -ig family. We read, 'What this Story Needs is a Pig in a Wig' together. Sadee read all the -ig, -at and ap family words. She did well on a cut and paste activity that involved gluing the correct initial letter to -ig to name given pictures. Additionally, Sadee practiced reading and writing numbers 0-19.

Sadee enjoyed making the letters of the alphabet using curved and straight pieces of wood. She practiced writing her name and tracing the letters o, i, u and e. The dry erase board was used to practice reading and writing words in the -at and -ap families. We read, 'The Cat, The Rat and The Baseball Bat' together. Sadee read all the -at words in the story. She did well on a cut and paste activity in which she glued the initial letter of -ap words to match the given pictures. Sadee is a delight!

Religion and Rough Draft of Realistic Fiction Story and Communities
Lesson Outline
Jonathan came late due to a Dentist appointment. We used the time to write his rough draft of his realistic fiction story. Jonathan used his brainstorming notes to build his story. Jonathan proofed his writing and I revised it for capital letters and punctuation. Jonathan wrote his spelling words two times and created sentences for three of the words. Jonathan completed his religion assignment assigned by his teacher. Lastly, Jonathan watched a YouTube video on regions of the USA to review the five regions taught this week.

Santino enjoyed playing with the abacus. We read " Picky Nicky", " Junk Sweet Junk", " Get Lost Becka", " Little Lucy" " Cat's Colors" and " Surf's Up", Santino had a total of two milk drinks and I changed him. His happy mood continued!

We read " The Elephant's Child", " Time to Play", " Sizzle the Grumpy Dragon", " Why Do Bears Hum?", and " The Puzzling Castle". Santino continued to laugh and seemed to be having fun. The feeding specialist came today at 1:30 and she will be working with Santino on Tuesdays and Thurdsdays at 1:30.
