We began with a vocab. review: greetings, salutations, weather, clothing, colors, question words with sentences. Nicole then chose an "ar" verb - conjugated it, translated it and formed a question sentence with a question word. We finished with the introduction of family members. I said a noun then Nicole repeated it.

Bobby had is first project today - he had to write script as if he were a radio weatherman. He did great!! He introduced himself, he welcomed all his listeners to his station, gave the date and the time. He then gave a detailed weather report for today, tonight and tomorrow. He then introduced the news anchor as "the gentleman in the red jacket, whose name is Jorge". Bobby came up with almost all of the copy. He searched out words from his textbook and worksheets. I helped only a handful of times. He was original, creative and light hearted, using characteristics listeners like to hear from their radio DJ.

Nicole reviewed all the colors in Spanish. She also reviewed articles and partitives - masculine, feminine and plural. Using the textbook, Nicole learned the names for 15 articles of clothing. I then taught her the rule of placing adjectives after the noun and having the adjective agree in gender and number. Using this information, she created 10 phrases of clothing and colors: example: some blue hats, the white boots, etc. She grasped the material well! She did an excellent job!
