Nicole then chose an "ar" verb - conjugated it, translated it and formed a question sentence with a question word. We finished with the introduction of family members. I said a noun then Nicole repeated it.

Bobby had is first project today - he had to write script as if he were a radio weatherman. He did great!! He introduced himself, he welcomed all his listeners to his station, gave the date and the time. He then gave a detailed weather report for today, tonight and tomorrow. He then introduced the news anchor as "the gentleman in the red jacket, whose name is Jorge". Bobby came up with almost all of the copy. He searched out words from his textbook and worksheets. I helped only a handful of times. He was original, creative and light hearted, using characteristics listeners like to hear from their radio DJ.

Since there is one section of colors and clothing, Nicole created original sentences describing what she and her friends are wearing today. We spent the last 10 minutes reviewing the vocabulary of weather.

We spent some time putting the words together to form sentences as well as reading the sentences in the exercises of the text. Since there is one section of colors and clothing, Bobby created original sentences describing what he and his friends are wearing today. From here, we moved onto numbers and played a game of Bingo - totally in Spanish. Bobby wrote the numbers out in Spanish rather than putting in numerals. He took a break then I introduced weather. Bobby repeated all the vocabulary words. I asked questions and he answered. We ended with writing out a weather report and reading it as if he were a “weather man” on tv.

I then taught her how to construct a sentence with the placement of the adjective after the noun. She practiced creating her own sentences: ex. I am wearing a brown shirt and blue pants, etc. She did well.

I then asked him to say the seasons followed by each of the weather conditions. We finished with Bobby giving me the weather forecast for today.

Continued evaluation: greetings, question words, days, numbers, food, articles, nouns of people. Bobby continued to create a vocabulary list of new words. He also wrote out sentences of food and activities.

Nicole reviewed all the colors in Spanish. She also reviewed articles and partitives - masculine, feminine and plural. Using the textbook, Nicole learned the names for 15 articles of clothing. I then taught her the rule of placing adjectives after the noun and having the adjective agree in gender and number. Using this information, she created 10 phrases of clothing and colors: example: some blue hats, the white boots, etc. She grasped the material well! She did an excellent job!

Nicole reviewed the conjugated verbs - reading them in Spanish. She then conjugated 2 more verbs. She then added question words to the conjugated verbs and created question sentences. She took the question sentences and answered them in Spanish. She did well!
